About this tool
Kooth is a free, safe and anonymous website that allows young people to access tailored mental health and wellbeing support.
How it works
It can be accessed by children and young people by going to www.kooth.com and creating an account, where Kooth is available in their area. It includes the following key features:
- Articles – Helpful articles, personal experiences and tips from young people and the Kooth team.
- Discussion boards – Individuals can start or join a conversation on a range of topics.
- Chat function – Individuals can chat to the team about anything that’s on their mind, either by message or a live chat.
- Daily journal – Young people can write in a daily journal to track their feelings or emotions and reflect on how they are doing.

The tool can be used by young people for any issue or to promote their wellbeing.
Cost
The tool is free and available to children and young people in a range of areas across Scotland, including Glasgow City and Inverclyde.
