Stay Alive App

About this tool

Stay Alive is a pocket suicide prevention resource packed full of useful information and tools to help an individual stay safe in crisis. A person can use it if they are having thoughts of suicide or if they are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide.

There is no age restriction on Stay Alive, and it can be accessed regardless of location.

How it works

If you are thinking about suicide, Stay Alive helps you stay safe. In addition to the searchable database of crisis services, the app includes a safety plan, customisable reasons for living, and a LifeBox where you can store photos or videos that are important to you.

If you’re concerned someone may be having thoughts of suicide, Stay Alive contains a Worried about Someone section. Here you can learn about common myths, potential warning signs, practical steps to help, and how to have a life-saving conversation.

How to use this tool

We know thoughts of suicide do not discriminate. Whether a young person is having thoughts of suicide themselves or are worried about someone else, Stay Alive can help keep them stay safe.
